There's a new  year  to come all that glitters has shown
And we're watching Saint Mary in 2007
When we got  there we knew, that  the water  had  woes
With Jay Wilson elected as Mayor

There was a vote on the ballot thats coming down to us
'Cause we know that 2007 is leaving
In November the water bond passed 80-23
Sometimes all of our years aren't that pleasant

There's a feeling I get when I look for whats best
And our spirit is here and not leaving
In my thoughts I have seen things pass like a breeze
And the people with those who stand worried

And it's whispered that soon if Christmas is that true
Then the new year will lead us to Christmas
And a new year will dawn into 2008
As the Mayor judges decorations contests

And it makes me wonder

When  there's a vote in Saint Mary
Don't be alarmed now
It's just a person for the right time

Yes there are two paths you can go by
but in the long run
There's still time to change the road we're on

Your head is shaking and it won't stop, in case you don't know
The Mayor's calling you to join him
Saint Mary can you hear the train blow and did you know
Saint Mary lies with the Aldermen

And as we wind down 2007
Our holidays are over and over
There walks Aldermen we all know
Who shines the town and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very close
The town will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
Saint Mary Christmas and Happy New Year
